Can you imagine having a large army coming at you and
you have one shot with your rifle. In order to shoot
again you have to stop, reload and then prepare to
shoot. It was pretty well equal on the Civil War 1860's
battlefield . . . Until . . . the repeating rifle was
invented and mass produced.
This activity will introduce the man who invented the
repeating rifle and how it happened.
