PART ONE: PRESIDENT LINCOLN-- DECISIONS TO CONDUCT WAR STARTING WITH THE BATTLE OF FORT SUMTER

RETURN TO LINCOLN BATTLEFIELD LEADERSHIP FOR PARTS TWO THROUGH 4 OF THE ACTIVITY

PART ONE  concerns how the President should deal with the problem with Fort Sumter.  The fort was being besieged by Confederate forces from Charleston, S. Carolina.  You will read a message from Major Anderson at Ft. Sumter.  Go to the War Battles and Strategies page follow it.  Be sure to read all real documents, and then answer the set of questions.

YOUR ORDERS:

1.  Go to the Battle of Fort Sumter Readings Home Page and follow the directions for completing the picture puzzle.  Click Here.

2.  Compile an information sheet of facts for each area you clicked from the puzzle.  Find four facts for each site and list them.

3.  Use the facts gathered from the Picture Puzzle Hunt, and make a presentation with computer software such as Prezy or Power Point, or make a traditional poster display.

4.  Present your final product.
